This incredible scenic air tour departs from Kununurra, giving you sensational views of the Packsaddle Irrigation Area, Lake Argyle before approaching Purnululu National Park. Take in the impressive landscape as you soar over the huge sandstone formations and the iconic black and orange striped Bungle Bungle Range that have contributed to the World Heritage listing of Purnululu National Park. Land at Bellburn Airstrip for refreshments before flying to a remote waterhole for a swim and picnic. During the wet season (January – March) this flight offers spectacular views of surrounding waterfalls. Your pilot will choose which remote waterhole to land at based on the weather at the time (it may vary from the location pictured)

Please note, a good level of mobility is required for this flight as there is a short hike to the waterholes. Bring your swimwear and wear walking shoes that can get wet.

Enjoy a stunning scenic flight from Kununurra to the Bungle Bungle before landing to begin a private guided walk through the black and orange striped domes and into Cathedral Gorge. From April to September, land at Bellburn Airstrip to start the 4WD/walking tour or from January to March (when the national park is closed for the waterfall season), land in Cathedral Gorge car park to start the guided walk.

During this period, you may be able to swim so pack your swimwear and wear walking shoes that can get wet. A change of clothing is advised for the return flight. A picnic lunch, water and snacks are provided on this tour.

Available from April to September, this option includes a return scenic helicopter flight from Kununurra, two spectacular guided walks in the Bungle Bungle and an overnight stay at the eco-accredited Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge. On your guided walk discover the iconic striped Bungle Bungle domes and Cathedral Gorge, before exploring the Western Wall and towering Echidna Chasm in the afternoon.

A photographer’s dream. Experience the colours of the Cockburn Range and the mesmerising tidal patterns of King River on this exciting helicopter adventure. Begin your scenic journey flying low over the Lower Ord River keeping an eye out for some crocodiles! Track towards Wyndham past iconic landscapes made famous by the Baz Luhrmann film Australia and take in the natural aerial art of the tidal river systems below.

Continue towards the Cockburn Range and depending on the time of day, be amazed at the vivid colours of the East Kimberley afternoon sun that wash over the rugged terrain. Follow the magnificent Range and view Emma Gorge and Dunham River before returning to Kununurra.

This exciting flight takes you over a region famed for its huge saltwater crocodiles. The early morning sun warms the earth, and these elusive reptiles take to the riverbanks to sunbake which is a sight that can only be truly appreciated from above.

Farming contributes significantly to the Kununurra economy and the scale of the Ord River Irrigation Scheme can only truly be appreciated from above. This flight showcases Ord Stage 1 and 2 all the way from the Ord Top Dam at Lake Argyle to the expanse of farms bordering the NT.

Your adventure begins in Kununurra flying over the vast farmlands surrounding the town before tracking towards Lake Argyle. Be in awe of the great expanse of Lake Argyle and the surrounding Carr Boyd Range. Enjoy the stunning views with a snack and beverage at Lake Argyle Resort, you can choose to swim here in the famous infinity pool if you wish. Afterwards fly alongside the breathtaking Cockburn Range before landing at El Questro Station for lunch, a drink and some downtime at The Swinging Arm Bar.

The final stop for the afternoon is the Hoochery Distillery, Western Australia’s oldest continuously operating (legal) still. Here you’ll enjoy a rum tour, rum tasting and snack paddle before returning with a scenic flight over Kununurra as the sun makes its way to the horizon, lighting up the spectacular Ord River.
